Campaign: For parents to recognise the detrimental impact of abuse on children.

With Fixers I want to highlight the damaging effects on children who witness domestic abuse in the home.

 

Even though it is something I have not experienced personally I believe it is a growing problem in our community.

 

I fear there isn’t enough awareness of domestic abuse and I worry people don’t recognise it or try to rationalise signs of abuse. When researching this project, we found that some children think abuse is normal.

 

I want parents to know that if children witness violence in the home, it can have a negative impact on their development.

 

Fixers has helped me produce an interactive poster to help people spot the signs of domestic abuse.
