Campaign: | To encourage others not to underestimate people with learning disabilities |
I have experienced stigma because people often underestimate what those with learning disabilities can achieve.
My friends and people I know have also had familiar experiences and we want to surprise people, change their perceptions and prove ourselves.
I want people to see me for who I am and not the disability.
We have created a billboard which has been displayed in Belfast. It has the message ‘see me for what I can do, not what I can’t.'
*Fixers works with learning disabled people of all ages.
