Campaign: To help protect children from abuse

I was sexually abused by a family member for eight years. It started when I was seven.

I was too scared to say anything at first because I didn’t think anybody would believe me.

Our family was also quite close so I was worried that speaking about it would damage relationships.

Eventually I did speak out and I’m so glad I did.

I’m now working with Fixers to show adults how they can spot the signs of child sex abuse.

I’m hoping that if more people know what to look out for, they will be able to identify when a child is at risk and protect them.
