Across the country, councils are making spending cuts. In Staffordshire, the doors have shut on council-run youth clubs. It’s my goal to help save these vital services for others elsewhere.Without these valuable resources, I worry that young people could end up hanging out on the streets, be unable to socialise or worse, turn to crime.I know, from experience, what a huge impact youth workers can have on local people and the wider community. With Fixers, I want to share this message extensively and show how youth services can add value to society.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
Mark Sutton, Staffordshire County CouncilCouncillor Sutton agreed to appear in my broadcast film to answer my questions.
Gerald Crookes, Youth Worker, and Ann Belfield from Butler Street Youth Club support my Fix. They were both interviewed to appear in my TV item.
Tilly and Bella
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
