My team and I want young people with mental health issues to feel comfortable enough to ask for help.
Around three children in every class are thought to have a diagnosable mental health disorder and we feel conditions such as depression are becoming more and more prevalent among our peers.
We’d like authority figures, including teachers, to remain vigilant and keep an eye out for signs that a young person might be in need of support.
We want to tackle the stigma attached to mental ill health, so that people feel able to discuss the topic openly.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
Our Fixers project is supported by Simplyhealth which helps people care for their everyday health through health cash plans, dental plans and independent living solutions.
With over 140-years of history in the healthcare market, the organisation is working in partnership with Fixers to help support young people to have their voices heard on the subject of mental health.
Tahrima Begum and Sofia Forbes support our Fix. They were involved on the production day for our Fixers film.
Jason Smith, Rochdale Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services.
Thank you to Jason for appearing in our broadcast film and supporting our campaign.
