Campaign: To show parents of premature babies that they’re not alone

Having a premature baby can be extremely stressful for parents.

  

Spending a lot of time in hospitals, there is a constant worry about what might happen to your child. 

 

As the majority of our group are parents, we’re really passionate about this topic and couldn't imagine not having support through such a challenging period.

  

We also know other parents who’ve had to experience a child being in neonatal care, so we understand how hard it can be.

  

It’s for this reason that we’re working with Fixers to raise more awareness of the topic.

  

We’ve helped to produce a leaflet, which aims to support parents with premature babies, so they understand that help is available.

 

Hopefully, by displaying the leaflets in health centres and hospitals across Glasgow, we can bring this issue to the attention of more people and let parents know they’re not alone.

Below is the leaflet that we have created with Fixers. As well as detailing personal experiences of parents who have had a premature baby, it gives more information on where others can find support.

 

The plan is to display the leaflets in local health centres and hospitals in a bid to help parents going through similar experiences and make them aware of the support available.
