Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, I came to the UK when I was very young.
I’ve enjoyed a great education and met some amazing people here, but I’ve also been a victim of racism.
Because I couldn’t speak English too well, I was often verbally and physically abused growing up, singled out because of my ethnic origin.
It made me feel extremely small and like I was an outsider.
Along with my team, who’ve also experienced similar abuse, we are working on a Fixers campaign to end racial prejudice by showing the impact it can have on people’s lives.
We hope the project encourages others to see everyone as an individual and not to discriminate on the basis of ethnicity.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
Mwavita De Gaille
I also want to say a special thank you to the following people, who have helped with this project:
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
Shak & Natasha
