Fundraising Team

Name: Emma Kiss

Job title:

Department: Growth and Innovation
What are your main roles with Fixers?
To assist Maggie and make sure she takes her holiday allowance, sleeps, eats and generally doesn’t work herself into the ground!
Why did you want to work with Fixers?
I find the young people we work with so inspiring and life-affirming. It’s so easy to feel paralysed with apathy on a global and domestic scale at the moment. Working with young people who refuse to be victims and are taking action to turn a negative situation into a positive, is amazing. A total antidote to the scourge of apathy.
What do you want to achieve while working with young people (Fixers)?
When I was at school homophobia, bullying and casual racism were an accepted part of daily life - and that was just from the teachers & adults who were in charge of us. I love the fact that every day I come in to work I see how much that has changed & continues to be challenged by the young people we work with. If I can help promote that change by supporting our Fixers, then I’m happy.
Favourite colour: Yellow
Hobbies: Cycling and keeping fit. Trying to get my friends and family into Feng Shui and chuck out their clutter. (It’s not working.)
Something people may not know about you: I can do Marge Simpson’s voice (and her twin sisters).

Name: Natasha Montagu

Job title: CEO

What are your main roles with Fixers?  To build support for Fixers by inspiring people with the incredible work that we do and ensure that many more young people have the opportunity to share their experiences and have a positive influence on the lives of others.

Why did you want to work with Fixers?  Fixers is unique in that the projects are led by the young people themselves, I believe that this is the only way that we can hear the authentic voices of people who feel they are not being listened to and the impact of these honest voices is transformational.

What do you want to achieve while working with young people (Fixers)? To give as many young people as possible the chance to feel that their life matters and that they can make a difference.

Favourite colour: Emerald green

Hobbies: Baking cakes, any sport on water, travelling the world and I’ve just started boxing!

Something people may not know about you: At university I was in a production of Bugsy Malone as one of Tallulah’s girls.

What are your main roles with Fixers? I manage our database, coordinate team projects, write applications to Trusts and Foundations and work in partnership with our Head of Income Generation to develop our Major Donor Fundraising Programme.
Why did you want to work with Fixers? Because I wanted to work in an organisation where people came first and I could channel my energy and passion into making a difference to others.
What do you want to achieve while working with young people (Fixers)? Whatever a young person may have been through we are able to help them realise that they matter and that they are important. I am proud to be part of the team that facilitates this and every penny we raise feels like an achievement and one step further to making positive change like this happen for our younger generations.
