What are your main roles with Fixers? Co-ordinating the booking of production resources, including shoot days, editing, hotel and other location needs; looking after the Broadcast team; liaising with broadcaster and dealing with clearances and general administration

Why did you want to work with Fixers?

To help get the messages young people have out to the largest possible audience

What do you hope to achieve working with young people (Fixers)?
I hope to assist the Broadcast team in making sure the Fixers' resources are utilised and promoted in the best way, as the ideas the Fixers have are incredible and deserve recognition

Hobbies: Walking, Yoga, meeting up with friends

Job title: Broadcast Researcher

What are your main roles with Fixers? To make sure that some of the great fixes we are setting up in the Central and Wales regions get featured on ITV news in an unbiased, fun and intelligent manner

Why did you want to work with Fixers?

My most recent roles in factual broadcasting were devoid of any meaning in the grander scheme of things, and Fixers is the polar opposite of that

What do you want to achieve while working with young people (Fixers)?

Essentially to help this generation of young people foster a better community for themselves and for others by highlighting their hard work on living room tellies nationwide

Hobbies: Anything to do with food and plants

Something people may not know about you: I’ve had some wonderful and whacky jobs in the past, two of which were taking snowmobile tours through Yellowstone, and planting rooftop gardens in New York

What are your main roles with Fixers?  Producing and directing films for regional television news.

Why did you want to work with Fixers?

Being involved with such a worthwhile project is very rewarding, and fun too.

What do you want to achieve while working with young people (Fixers)?

I hope the films I make will make people sit up and take notice of the amazing achievements of the individual Fixers I profile.
Favourite colour: Green

Hobbies: Running in the park, growing veg on my allotment, cooking, watching films with my teenage son and daughter.

Something people may not know about you: When I was 20, I presented a Radio One programme called 'Talk About Sex'.

Name: Liz Kay

Job title: Broadcast Researcher

Department: Broadcast Team

What are your main roles with Fixers? Once a month, a Fixer or group of Fixers in each area is chosen to appear on ITV regional evening News. It’s my job to find all the necessary people and locations to make sure filming goes smoothly as well as supporting you to ensure that broadcast film enables you and your project to shine.

Why did you want to work with Fixers? 

I’ve been fortunate to have worked with Fixers for several years and love the variety of the projects we see.  The young people are truly inspirational.

What do you want to achieve while working with young people (Fixers)?

We’ve already seen Fixers reaching new heights with their campaigns – during our first meetings with them over coffee, I bet they wouldn’t have guessed that many would be getting their message to key decision makers and others would have the resources used across several different counties. Some have even been to Downing Street. 

Favourite colour: I couldn’t choose!!

Hobbies: Listening to music, eating cheese and running (well, jogging, slowly) – not all at the same time.

Name: Paul Larsmon

Job title: Broadcast Producer

What are your main roles with Fixers? Making films for TV broadcast about the various projects that Fixers are involved with.

Why did you want to work with Fixers?

I want to use my long experience in television journalism and production in a project which I believe can “make a difference”.

What do you want to achieve while working with young  people?

I want to make the best possible films to help young people express themselves and older people understand them better. I also hope that the experience of being involved in making a film will add to a Fixer’s self-confidence and sense of worth.

Hobbies: Reading, cycling

Something people may not know about you: I play a bit of blues harp (harmonica) and once jammed with The Pretty Things.
