Sometimes it can be nice to escape from life’s worries and do something which makes you think everything is okay with the world. For me, it’s slacklining.
A form of tightrope walking, it’s slightly different in that the line is less stable and requires a lot more concentration and balance.
It has increased my fitness, made me a lot more confident and most of all, given me a new kind of focus.
My Fixers project is to show other young people how slacklining can be a fun activity, which benefits the body and mind.
I special thank you to Benjamin Yates for helping me with this project.
Here is some feedback I've received on my Fixers film:
'That looked awesome. I've been meaning to try that for ages - when are you going out next?'
'Love this idea! Slacklining fits well with mindfulness practice, which I believe in. Focus, non-judgemental, healthy for the mind and body. I will give this some thought.'
'Very professional video and shows how slacklining can give people positive feelings.'
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
