I have spent my life around water and on boats, and I subsequently have a great passion for sailing.
It's a sport that I believe builds confidence, skills and self-esteem, yet I don’t think enough young people get involved with it.
This is because yachting has an elitist stigma attached to it; people are under the illusion that wealth is required to take part in sailing when that isn’t the case.
With the help of Fixers, I have created a flyer advertising local sailing clubs and encouraging people to get involved.
I hope to shed a different light on the hobby and wash away the preconceptions surrounding it.
There are so many opportunities for people to get involved with sailing - they just need to put themselves out there.
