Campaign: | To highlight communication challenges for those with Asperger’s |
I have Asperger’s syndrome. It’s a condition that many young people have, but we feel that there’s still very little known about it.
One of the biggest challenges we face is communication. We interpret language in a different way to others and can often take things very literally.
When talking to someone with Asperger's, even small adjustments in the way you speak, like expressing things in a clearer way, can make a huge difference.
With this in mind, for our Fixers campaign we’re using an animated film to show how the condition affects us and the way we interact with others.
We're hoping it will encourage better communication and understanding.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:

June 2014
We held a screening of our Fixers film at the MacRobert Arts Centre in Stirlingon Tuesday 17th June.
The animation was part of a joint launch, shown alongside a short film called ‘Asperger’s syndrome – Thought Processes’, which was created for a campaign led by Angus Hepburn and other members of our support group, PLUS.
