 Angus

Name: Angus Hepburn
Age: 17
Year of the Fix: 2014
Location: Stirlingshire, Scotland
Campaign: To educate people about Asperger's syndrome

Having Asperger’s syndrome can have its ups and downs. It means I don’t see the world like most people, and sometimes I feel the condition isn’t understood as well as it could be.

This often leads to many misunderstandings about the syndrome, some of which can lead to bullying.

Therefore with Fixers, my group and I are raising awareness of Asperger’s to help people better understand the condition’s complexities.

Hopefully this will make it easier for others to approach people who have it and not judge them based on preconceived ideas.

I would like to say a special thank you to fellow Fixer Paul Farley for helping me with my Fix.

PLUS - Stirling

We are all members of PLUS. The organisation supported our Fix by helping to coordinate the project.

June 2014

We held a screening of our Fixers film at MacRobert Arts Centre in Stirlingon on Tuesday 17th June.

The film was part of a joint launch and was shown alongside ‘Asperger’s Syndrome – Metaphors’, a short animation created for a campaign led by Alec Scobbie and other members from our support group, PLUS.
