On Monday 12th May we launched our Fixers film at a screening event at the Polka Theatre in Wimbledon.
Around eighty people attended including our parents, carers and a representative from the local council. Students from South Thames College and Merton College were also in the audience, as were members of the High Path and All Saints day centres.
We received some really positive feedback.
‘A good film. I think the group should go to secondary and primary schools and tell the students they want to be heard and accepted.’
‘It’s inspirational to watch the film and see the courage these young people have.’
‘Great film and presentation. It was fantastic to see the young people being so positive and confident.’
‘What a brilliant show. It’s so important that able-bodied people respect disabled people.’
‘The film should be shown to as many people as possible to try to stop bullying.’
‘It was very informative. I enjoyed it and found it really interesting.’
