Campaign: | To promote the benefits of dance |
I began dancing when I was three and believe that it has many benefits.
As well as being fun and sociable it can build a person’s confidence and self-esteem, and can help create a real sense of belonging to a community.
It’s a misconception that you have to be a brilliant dancer to take part in dance classes.
Dance is for everyone and I’d encourage those of all abilities to give it a go!
To demonstrate this, I’m organising a hip hop flashmob event in Inverness, with Fixers.
Click on ‘updates’ above for more details.
We’re hoping to film on the day to put together a music video which can then be used to promote dance across the Highlands.
*NOTE: Fixers sometimes go beyond the 16-25yr age bracket while working on their Fix.

May 2014
With the help of Fixers, I organised a hip hop flashmob event on Monday 5th May to demonstrate the benefits of dance and to encourage people to give the activity a go.
The event, which took place on Church Street, Inverness, was filmed by Fixers to create a music video that will be used to promote dance across the Highlands.
The event went amazingly well. We had around 20 young people take part and the public responded in a positive way.
