Campaign: To help young homeless people find support

Two years ago, my family moved away and I was left on my own with nowhere to go. It was horrible.

Being homeless is not something I ever imagined, but it happened.

I couldn’t stop thinking about what I was going to do - it was like the whole world was caving in on me.

But I got advice through my school, which helped me find somewhere to stay.

I’m now living in supported accommodation and despite my past, I’m getting on with my life.

With the help of Fixers, I’m encouraging others in my shoes to speak about their problems and know they’re not alone.

The Whitechapel Centre

David Carter, Chief Executive of the housing and homeless charity supported our Fix by giving an insight into the problem of homelessness in young people during an interview for my TV story.

My broadcast shoot went very well and I was very pleased with the TV story about my campaign, which aired on ITV Granada Reports this month. Thank you to Fixers for allowing me to talk about the difficulties in my life to help others that may be in the situation I was in.
