Being unemployed can be a very depressing and lonely place.
Having been out of work for six months, I’ve noticed there aren’t really many places for young people to get help and advice.
So with the help of Fixers, my group and I have created a website, targeted at job seeking 16 to 24-year-olds.
We aim to help them with everything from preparing a CV to providing tips for a successful interview.
The goal of our Fixers campaign is to encourage more people our age to stay determined and to remind them to never give up.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:
Ally Scott supported our Fix by facilitating our project from start to finish.
Feedback to our campaign has been really positive and encouraging! We've even reached an Olympic athlete! Read some of these comments below:
Keiron Achara, Team GB Basketball Player
'Great work guys! Keep it up! The advice I would give is to never get disheartened and whatever you are doing - give it your all!'
Hazel Sharp, MSYP for Falkirk
'This is a brilliant website and a brilliant idea! This is useful information that many young people should know but may not have been told!'
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
