Campaign: Challenging misonceptions about roller derby

I’ve been doing roller derby for three years and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. But there are still a few misconceptions about the sport.

Some people think it’s too aggressive.

In actual fact, it’s a very inclusive sport, which requires a lot of skill. You don’t have to be a certain size or look a certain way. Anyone can play and it keeps you fit too.

To help challenge its negative reputation, we’ve enlisted the help of Fixers to create a short film looking at the benefits of roller derby and to end stereotypes.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:

Claire Rush

Craig Stewart

Emily Hesling

Emma-Louise Macneil

Karin King

Katie Mcglennon

Leila Boussaikouk

Lucy Mcglennon

Lynn Zagorski

Mhairi Grey

Pip Marson
