Campaign: For more people to take cheerleading seriously

Cheerleading is a big part of my life. I love it. But it’s not really that well known in this country, which is a shame.

I think part of the problem is that many people don’t know the skill and dedication involved.

It’s straining on your body. You don’t only train in class but at home as well. Whether it’s improving strength, flexibility or even just choreography, it does help. It is very much a sport in my eyes.

So for our Fixers project, we’re looking to hold an event which shows just how hard cheerleading can be and get more people to see it as a serious sport.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:

Becky Spurrett

Chloe Hogarth

Dawn-Louise Kingswood

Eden Stephenson

Ella Robinson

Jack Taylor

Jade Atkinson

Liam Jackson

Lindsay Sander, Cumbria University

Lindsay gave an interview for my broadcast item on ITV News.
