I’ve had an incredible time travelling to other countries. Recently a friend and I visited Borneo as part of an expedition group for a month.
It was one of the best experiences of my life and really taught me a lot about of myself.
But the thing we found most difficult was raising money and planning for the trip.
So we’ve decided to team up with Fixers and create a website where we share our advice on travelling to other would-be jet-setters.
It’s important to be prepared when going abroad, so we’ve decided to create something which gives tips on what to do before you get there.
I want to give a special thank you to fellow Fixer Lisa Swanson for helping me with this Fix.
Our school supported the Fix by allowing us to launch the website to an audience of students.
After launching our Got To Travel wesbite at Dingwall Academy, here's what a few of the pupils had to say:
Alan (15): 'The website is a great idea and could really help with ideas and inspiration.'
Rachael (15): 'The website has a great layout. It looks very helpful for advice for other people's trips.'
Kelsie (15): 'The site looks helpful and easy to understand.'
Christie (15): 'This looks very useful for fundraising ideas.'
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
