Myself and fellow Fixer, Zubeida Hussein, have both experienced the insecurity of homelessness.
Tensions at home left us independently with nowhere permanent to live.
We stayed on friends' sofas and with relatives for a while, and were ultimately referred to the YMCA.
Now back on our feet, we want to help other young people who find themselves in a similar situation.
With Fixers we’re planning to create a leaflet and poster campaign to give the young homeless hope and to point them in the direction of support services that can help.
Zubeida Hussein, 19, is helping me with my Fix.
The team at City YMCA support our Fixers project. A number of YMCA residents are helping us with our campaign and Thomas Binns, Housing Support Worker at City YMCA, was interviewed in our broadcast piece.
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
