Campaign: | Creating a 'quiet space' for young people with physical and learning disabilities |
I volunteer at Cheshire House Inverness- a place which helps those with physical and learning difficulties.
They do a great job in making service users feel at ease and comfortable, but sometimes the house can be a little noisy, so we’ve decided to help create a ‘quiet space’ for those who use it.
As part of my Fixers project, we’re appealing to the public and local businesses to donate what they can to help.
We’re looking for a disused summerhouse, furnishings and people’s time to make this mission a reality.
I think the space will give service users a chance to make new friends and take a peaceful break from their daily routine.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:
Jade Fraser
Aileen Douglas-Jones
Colin McCooey
Malcolm Burr
Stuart Geegan
The house helped my Fix by allowing us to set up a 'quiet zone' on the grounds of the building.
