I found school difficult. I got bullied and didn’t understand the reasons why.
I was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome a couple of years ago, which is a form of autism and affects your ability to interact and communicate with others.
When I first meet someone, I’m kind of scared of them because I find it difficult to read emotions in their face. So I can’t tell if they’re happy, scared or angry.
My Fixers project is to raise awareness about Asperger’s and help educate people about the condition.
The message is don’t treat people with Asperger’s any differently than anybody else.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:
Tom Madders, National Autistic Society
Tom supported my Fixers project by providing an interview for my broadcast story.
Simon Rees, Print Graphic
Simon supported my campaign by meeting with me to discuss project ideas.
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
