My aim is to encourage young women to get involved in sport.
I think there is a two-sided problem - the stigma that exists around women wanting to compete in typical 'masculine' sports, but also the fact that many girls don’t think exercise is feminine enough.
With the help of Fixers, I’m creating a series of posters which will hopefully inspire more young women to lead a more active life.
In doing so, I hope this negative perception surrounding younger females who partake in sporting activities will change as well.
Here is the list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:
I have received some positive feedback from my campaign following my broadcast item! See below:
'I just wanted to say how fantastic this initiative is. As a young child I was always a little shy and lazy, hence why I avoided P.E at school, this gave me a free pass to eliminate sport from my life.
'But at the age of 25 I decided to take up running and the gym. Although it was a little daunting at first, I began to enjoy myself, it gave me a real confidence boost and I found something I was good at.
'Now at the age of 29 I am training to run my first half marathon and have raised over £500 for the National Autistic Society!
