Campaign: Encourage healthy eating

My friends and I did not want to keep paying more and more for vegetables and fruit, so we decided to grow our own.

Despite living in a city where garden space is a premium, we came up with a solution to grow food in our homes – through the use of window boxes.

Now we’re encouraging children to do the same. Growing your own food is fun, healthy, and saves a lot of money.

A lot of people do not think they have the skills to grow their own food, and we hope our children’s book that we are creating equips children with the skills they need to grow their own food throughout their lives.

Thanks to my team helping me with this project:

A mother and toddlers group, who were given the book, were impressed with the campaign and left some really positive and encouraging feedback. You can read some of these comments below:

'My little cousin absolutely loves this book. She always asks me to read the story to her. We are waiting for nicer weather so we can try and grow some of the characters.'

'What a great little book. Really engaging for children.'

'Really clear instructions on how to grow these vegetables, we can't wait to have a go!'

'Great story!'

'The pictures in this book are really cool and funny!'
