When I came out as gay in my early teens, I didn't have an an easy time.
I felt that bottling up my emotions would make it less likely for people to single me out.
Even after the name calling, however, I decided to open up about my sexuality and it was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.
One thing I did notice was the lack of support for young, gay people and this is what I'm working with Fixers to change.
I want to give hope to others who think they're on their own.
