Location: Middleton, Rochdale
Campaign: To break down negative stereotypes of young people

As a teenager, I feel I’m misunderstood by some of the older people in my community.

There are a lot of negative stereotypes out there about people in my age group and they don’t fully reflect the truth.

We're not all out on the streets causing trouble.

My team and I are members of Middleton Popstars Academy. We're creatively minded and we want to show this through our project.

With the help of Fixers, we are creating a song which we can perform to the public.

We want to change youth stereotypes for the better by showing that young people can do great things.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:

Natalie Burton Alex Burton
Chloe Harrison Chloe Ward-Kelly
Christian Fields Daniel McJoneigh
Lauren Boyle Leon Hollinrake
Michelle Saidi Babalola Ehidiameiy
Sadie Shepherd

Middleton Popstars Academy

We're all members of the academy. The team there have supported our Fix by helping to facilitate the project.

Jayne Taylor, Senior Youth Officer for Rochdale Youth Service at Rochdale Borough Council, supports our project. She agreed to be interviewed to appear in our broadcast piece.
