Name: Jordan Stratham
Age: 19
Year of the Fix: 2013
Location: Stourbridge
Campaign: Autism Awareness

I have autism and want to show people that having a disability shouldn’t hold you back in life.

I want to raise awareness of autism, because there are many people out there who don’t know what it is.

There needs to be more understanding around the condition and, hopefully, I will spread awareness by working with Fixers.

I want to educate people about autism in a creative way and let them know that despite having autism, there is so much I can and will do if I have the right support in place.

Here is a list of Fixers who helped me with my Fix:

Glasshouse College

The college helped me organise my festival, which took place on Saturday 11th May.

May 2013

I was delighted to hold my Autism Awareness Festival at Glasshouse College. More than 200 people turned up including special guest and former Led Zeppelin lead vocalist, Robert Plant.

Gail Hickman, Enrichment Manager at Glasshouse College says: “It was a great event which had a fabulous turn-out. Hopefully we can continue this success in the future."

My campaign was also featured in the Black Country Bugle. Click the link to read the full article.
