Where I live, there seem to be a lot of young people who are unemployed. A lot of my friends are unemployed, and I was too for around one year after leaving college.

 

Applying for jobs is difficult enough sometimes, but finding the enthusiasm to persist becomes harder and harder once rejection letters come in. It really knocks your confidence.

 

Young people do want to work, and my friends and I feel that many employers are scared of employing young people due to lack of experience on paper. But in reality young people are just as able as anyone else. All they need is a start.

 

That's why we are creating a CV pack, which includes a unique 'top trumps' set which highlights our key skills, expertise, and interests in one handy resource. 

 

We hope this will simplify the job seeking process, and prospective employers will be able to see exactly why they should employ young people.
