Where I live in Lupset, Wakefield, there is not much of a community feel.
There is a lot of trouble with young people and the police, and not everyone in the area gets along.
I worked with Fixers to try and change this through a community fun day which aimed to bring everyone together.
The day included a range of activities and had live music acts, face-painting, skating, and a bouncy castle. Families from all over the estate came to the day and it was a great success.
Things then got better still as I was recognised by Vinspired for a national Connect Award at the V National Awards ceremony in 2010.
Thanks to Fixers, the area I live in was brought together to ensure that people do not lose touch with their community.
I'd like to thank the following people for helping me with my Fix:
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
Shak & Natasha
