Campaign: | To prevent knife crime |
After my brother was stabbed to death in 2007, I decided to campaign to end knife crime.
I’ve been involved on two Fixes with Fixers – the first saw me create a leaflet campaign entitled “Knives Ruin Lives”, showing young people in Hampshire about the dangers of knife crime.
Shortly after, I became involved with Fixers once more, this time to create a music video with a group of fellow Fixers to deter people from carrying knives.
I worked with a great group made up of Adam Brimson (22), Damien Murdoch (20), Matt Sayce (17) and Jamie Trayhorn (19) to create our video - ‘Keep the Peace’.
The song and the video explains just how easy it is to get involved in knife crime, and how picking up a blade just because everyone else may be is never the answer.
Using a knife in any sort of crime can have fatal consequences, and young people need to understand the dangers of knife crime. It may only take a second to stab someone but it can have long-lasting effects.
Thank you to the following for helping me with my Fix:
