Campaign: Encourage healthy eating

After growing up with some unhealthy food, and seeing more young people develop unhealthy lifestyles, I want to encourage young people on a benefits budget to cook and eat healthy meals.

I live in a hostel (South London YMCA) with my twin sister and we do not get a lot of money to spend on food. So many people in my position simply buy frozen ready meals, but they do not realise these meals are not good for you and are actually quite expensive.

I am producing a resource pack to show young people living in hostels - and other young people outside of hostels - that eating healthily does not need to be costly. And, in fact, fresh food turns out cheaper in the long run.
