Jazz

Jazz

Name: Jazz Gill
Age: 24
Year of the Fix: 2010
Location: Yorkshire
Campaign: Jazz knows what prison life is really like after spending 18 months behind bars.

A few years ago, I was convicted of assault and sentenced to three and a half years in prison for an act of grievous bodily harm.

I had previously been expelled from school 21 times and drinking with my friends was something I did regularly to make myself feel better.

One particular night, we went down a local nightclub and drank excessively. It was soon after this we attacked someone.

The next morning I woke up in a prison cell facing eighteen months behind bars for GBH. Even after being released, I had a criminal record and no prospects. Since then I’ve had to work so hard to turn my life back around – and all for one stupid alcohol fuelled mistake.

I ended up wasting 483 days of my life in prison – think about what you could be doing in that time.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:

Gurdeep Singh Alexandra Fisk
Ryan McGee Daniel Moss
Emmie Hume Isar Sadia
