I struggled in mainstream education because of the size of the groups and the way in which the curriculum was taught. However, once I arrived at Woodpecker Court, I discovered how mixing outdoor activities with formal education can make learning more engaging.
The centre allows me to combine Maths and English with outdoor skills like woodcraft and animal care, and it works a lot better for me than a traditional classroom.I want to get the message out there that there are alternaties to school and college like Woodpecker Court that allow you to gain qualifications in a more exciting environment.
