Campaign: | To campaign for teachers to have a better understanding of Dyspraxia. |
I was diagnosed with Dyspraxia when I was 17.
It’s a condition that can make a child appear clumsy or slow to learn. Personally I had trouble with things like tying my shoelaces, riding a bike or catching a ball.
Handwriting was incredibly difficult and I think teachers just thought I was being lazy.
With Fixers, I’ve created a poster which tells teachers in particular what to look out for. Then they can identify a child who may have Dyspraxia and help them with different teaching methods.
It would be great if I could help someone like me get a diagnosis and the help they need.
