Matin Zoormand

Matin Zoormand

Name: Matin Zoormand
Age: 18
Year of the Fix: 2018
Location: Hampshire
Campaign: To get people talking about racism

I have been the victim of racial abuse, it started when I lived in Iran and continued after I had immigrated to the UK.

I remember not quite understanding what racism was and I think it's important that young people are encouraged to ask questions.

Racism is wrong and young people need to understand it to be able to adapt their behaviour.

I want people to understand the power of their words and actions.

Thank you to the following fixers for helping me with my fix:

Buhe Nziramasanga

Chelsey Louise Bush

Sherko Shadab

Max Smith

Rodmehr Zolfashari

Thank you to Mark Walsh from Hampshire Community Court and Duke Hunter from the Wheatsheaf Trust for your support.
