Crystal Turner-Brightman

Crystal Turner-Brightman

Name: Crystal Turner-Brightman
Age: 17
Year of the Fix: 2018
Location: Hampshire
Campaign: To encourage people with PTSD to be survivors, not victims.

I wanted to create a short film about my recovery as a burns survivor because I believe that I should not let my scars define me but that I should define my scars.

The road to recovery is never easy but with a strong support base and the desire to become the person you want to be (not the person you are in a dark place) you can find the strength within yourself to turn your situation into a positive new way of life.

I hope me fixers film will inspire others to be survivors and not victims as I tell my story and help them to find healthy coping mechanisms for anyone suffering and become the people they deserve and want to be.

Thank you to these people for helping me with my fix:

Mary Moss

Will Reynolds

Callum Crook

Jack Gibson

Tyla Adair

Thank you to the following people for supporting my profile:

Tim Jackson from Richard Tauntons School.

Mary O'Brien from Richard Tauntons Sixth Form School.

Vicki Mogridge-Percy from No Limits.
