Olivia Rees

Olivia Rees

Name: Olivia Rees
Age: 17
Year of the Fix: 2018
Location: Swansea
Campaign: To show the benefits of volunteering

I started volunteering when I was 14 and probably would have got involved with it sooner if there were more opportunities.

My volunteering experience has helped me get jobs and given me transferable skills.

I want to show people that the benefits they'll get from volunteering are worth giving up their time for.

I hope my film increases awareness, especially for businesses and shows that they can create opportunities and it's not particularly difficult. If you're an organisation start small and look at taking on one volunteer for a small role.

The following Fixers helped me with this Fix:

Saba Humayun

Jack Brooker

Paige Hall

Liam Llewelyn

Ali Humayun

Aishat Siyanbola

Hayley Anon

Lauren Rees

Megan Pearson

Ebony Robson-Brown

Steffan Summons

Lewis Toft

Eda Bulbull and Shelly Williams from Swansea Council for Voluntary Services supported me with this Fix.
