I know from personal experience how difficult it can be to open up about your own mental health issues, especially when talking to professionals.
I've found it difficult to engage in treatment in the past because I struggle to articulate what I want to say.
There are lots of campaigns out there raising awareness about the stigma surrounding talking about mental health, but nobody really targets the difficulties behind this.
So I've made a film with Fixers to highlight the barriers that can prevent people from discussing how they are feeling on the inside.
I hope it will be shown in as many schools and colleges as possible to help other young people experiencing similar struggles.
The following Fixers helped me with my project:
Lisa Rae Brandon
Robert Adam Berg
Shak & Natasha
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
Tilly and Bella
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
