Thomas Bell

Name: Thomas Bell
Age: 18
Year of the Fix: 2018
Location: Stockton-On-Tees
Campaign: To encourage people to show more respect to individuals with invisible illnesses

I have a number of health conditions including dyspraxia, epilepsy and also suffer from hemiplegic migraines.

When I was 11 years old I had a stroke, and to this day I experience weakness down the left side of my body.

At school, I was bullied quite a bit. The kids used to shine a light in my eyes because they knew I had epilepsy. Nobody really took my conditions seriously.

My Fixers project is a poster campaign aiming to raise more awareness about invisible illnesses like mine in a bid to increase understanding.

Just because you can’t see someone’s illness doesn’t mean it’s not there.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:

Chloe Benjamin

Emily V Green

Danny Leach

Owen Huggins

Lucy Chesney

I would like to thank Comic Relief for supporting me with this fix.
