I care for my dad who has bi-polar disorder.
It can be challenging at times, but I’m immensely proud to be helping someone when they need me.
In my opinion, it’s often the negative side of being a young carer that is highlighted, but it can be a really rewarding experience.
It can make you more mature, better able to cope with difficult situations and also bring families together.
My team and I have made a film with Fixers showing what it can be like for those who look after loved ones and that it’s not all bad.
