I came to the UK in 2012 from South Africa. It’s fair to say that I did experience some racism because I was black, which is something I wasn’t used to.
I feel that people are often negatively judged, particularly in urban communities for their culture or where they’re from and it’s wrong.
My Fixers project is a rap video, which talks about some of the problems in society and encourages people not to judge everyone the same.
I want people to get along irrespective of who they are. We are one society and need to pull each other up not down.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
Jessy Wu Zhang
The Blagrave Trust
The Blagrave Trust is supporting Fixers to work with a number of their partner charities in Hampshire, Berkshire, Sussex and Wiltshire to give young people a voice.
I would also like to thank Ty Brown for helping me with this Fix.
Tilly and Bella
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
Shak & Natasha
Fixers is a project of the Public Service Broadcasting Trust, funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund, and featured on ITV.
