Campaign: To stop people from bullying and whispering about young people with mental health issues

I’m a care worker, looking after young people with disabilities, and my campaign aims to change the way that people talk about those who are suffering from mental health conditions.

After all, it's hard enough for anyone to know they’re being talked about behind their backs – imagine how much worse it feels when you’re already struggling with mental health issues?

I suffer from dyslexia and dyspraxia, which makes reading, writing, balance and coordination harder for me than for others. Because of my conditions, I’ve heard people whispering behind my back, asking each other: ‘Is he stupid?’

So I know how much it hurts. That’s why this campaign urges people to stop the whispers – and offer kindness, support and friendship instead.

The following Fixers all helped me with this fix -

Chloe Johns

Gareth Turner

Megan Sparks

Charlie Cook
