Campaign: | To highlight looming changes to young people's housing benefit |
By the age of 24, I thought I would soon be able to move out of home and gain my independence.
However, huge changes to housing benefit for the under 35s being introduced in April 2019, mean I will be one of many young people who won't be given as much help with their rent.
Knowing this in advance means that I am fully aware that I can no longer afford to move out.
My Fixer's group are concerned that many young people don't realise that the changes are coming and how they could have a life-changing impact on them.
We have designed coasters to get the information out there and to encourage young people to start planning accordingly.
My Fixers team includes:
Rhiannon Parker
Alenah Jones
