Since becoming a student I have come across a lot of people who have become involved in fraud. They don't think about the repercussions when they are offered opportunties to pay off their debts quickly or make money easily.
I feel that for too many people fraud has become normalised and people think it’s not as bad as all the other crimes that out there.
Several of my friends, who had just received their student loans, were taken in by someone who claimed to have a way they could get their accommodation for half price.
They handed over money from their student loans but it turned out the scammer was using stolen credit cards to pay for the accommodation, and getting their 'clean' money in return.
It angers me when people boast about being able to buy stuff for free on other people's cards as if it is not a crime.
