I was born with spinal muscular atrophy type 2, which means that over time my muscles gradually become weak.
It’s definitely challenging to be just seen as a normal, everyday young girl. I don’t want to be 'the girl in the wheelchair', I just want to be me.
I’ve created a film about some of the things that have happened to me way too often, and really shouldn’t.
The main message of my Fixers film is to understand and accept people with disabilities.
I’d love for people just to see me, as myself, and get to know me, before they get to know my disability and my wheelchair.
The following Fixers helped me with this Fix:
Alessandro Fabrizio Mamusi
Chanel de Angelis
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
Fixers is a project of the Public Service Broadcasting Trust, funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund, and featured on ITV.
