Bee Daws

Bee Daws

Name: Bee Daws
Age: 25
Year of the Fix: 2017
Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire
Campaign: To help young people talk about their feelings by finding a creative outlet

I’ve suffered from depression and anxiety for several years.

I’ve created and played with puppets since I was little and discovered that a puppet called Abbie could really help me with my problems.

Abbie is a puppet version of me – but without all the bad bits. She doesn’t suffered from depression and anxiety and I find I can talk through my isssues with her.

Puppets work for me – but Fixers is helping me get out my message that any creative activity is good for expressing yourself, and good for your mental health.

The following Fixers helped me with this Fix:

James Thomas

Shaun Bibey

Taniya Weerawardena

Nathan Lawrence

Katie Brewer

Amber Tyndall

Niall Coles

Brianny Witts

Jess Spiller

Alexandra Smart

Ty Walker

Shannon Blount

Cat Taylor from Off The Record supported me with this Fix.
