I suffered from depression two years ago when I was studying for my exams.
To begin with I didn’t tell anyone because I thought people would think I was making it up, lying or attention-seeking.
Eventually I told my mum and everything changed; I didn’t feel alone any more. I didn’t feel abnormal or weird or wrong. I knew it would go away eventually – and it did.
Fixers has helped me with my project – to encourage other young people to realise that it’s better to talk about mental health issues.
The chances are someone else knows exactly how you are feeling and can help you.
