I suffered from depression two years ago when I was studying for my exams.
To begin with I didn’t tell anyone because I thought people would think I was making it up, lying or attention-seeking.
Eventually I told my mum and everything changed; I didn’t feel alone any more. I didn’t feel abnormal or weird or wrong. I knew it would go away eventually – and it did.
Fixers has helped me with my project – to encourage other young people to realise that it’s better to talk about mental health issues.
The chances are someone else knows exactly how you are feeling and can help you.
The following Fixers helped me with this Fix:
Samata Sen-Gupta and Jo Boulton from Carrick Mind supported me with this Fix.
