I had a serious stroke when I was 16. It left me with locked-in syndrome. This means that while my brain and mind work perfectly well, I am completely paralysed.
I need round-the-clock care and cannot speak. I communicate with a computer-based voice synthesiser.
But ever since my stroke, I have been determined that, one day, I will be able to walk and talk again.
I have tried very hard to have an optimistic attitude throughout this experience.
So, with Fixers, I want to get a message out to everybody: Keep positive and you can overcome absolutely anything!
The following Fixers helped me with this Fix:
Dr Hilary Gunn from Plymouth University supported me with this Fix.
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
