Someone known to my family started sexually abusing me when I was 11. It went on for two years.
It affected me mentally and socially. I became isolated and had really bad trust issues.
The abuse wasn’t reported straight away – it only came out when I was 16 and opened up to one of my friends, who told my brother. My mum then called the police straight away.
I made the film with Fixers because I want to raise awareness of sexual exploitation and child abuse.
It’s happening everywhere and not many people know that there’s help out there.
I want to show that you can be happy and successful after abuse with the right help.
The following Fixers helped me with this Fix:
NHS England North (CSE) and Beckie Wood from Sandwell Women's Aid supported me with this Fix.
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
